Bridal Jewelry — A Sculptural Study in Light & Shadow — Overflow Estate Editorial Featured in Together Journal
In the quiet beauty of the Scenic Rim, among rolling hills and still water, The Overflow Estate 1895 became the setting for an intimate editorial inspired by architectural form, Japanese design principles, and the raw poetry of the natural world. This styled shoot was a study in contrasts — soft against structured, light against shadow — and offered a refined vision for the modern bride seeking something truly considered.
Drawing from the art of Ikebana, the floral direction by Bunch It Up was minimalist and deeply sculptural, leaning into tones of chocolate, inky black, and oxblood. Each floral element was chosen for its form and texture, designed not to overwhelm but to elevate the quiet strength of the space. Inspired by ‘Chanel in Tokyo’, stylist Love Notes curated a story rooted in mood, clean lines, and organic detail — all anchored by the estate’s striking architecture.
A floor-length oatmeal tablecloth, raw stone plates and wood-handled cutlery created an understated yet deeply layered reception setting. Textural chiffon napkins and angled menus echoed the geometric lines of the estate, while sheer black lighting created a warm, cinematic glow.
The bridal look was simplicity, perfected. Karen Willis Holmes’ Arabella Gown brought a subtle sensuality with a deep V neckline and silk-crepe drape, softened by a soft wedding cape in sheer chiffon — its delicate train echoing the long lines of the vineyard.
The look was completed with with our BELLA gold pearl drop earrings, offering a modern yet timeless statement that glinted softly with every turn.
Every detail — from the sculptural wedding cakes by The Sweet Society Co., to the tonal wedding stationery by Laura Elizabeth Design — was thoughtfully curated. Each touchpoint invited pause and presence, just as a wedding day should.
This editorial is an invitation to slow down. To consider texture, intention, and mood. For the bride drawn to natural materials and sculptural silhouettes. For the one who chooses pearl drop bridal earrings over sparkle, an architectural wedding dress over tradition. For the couple who seeks quiet luxury in every moment.
